Markets Continue Climb in July
Rachel and I have been enjoying the spring weather. This morning’s temperature (wind chill 30) was a little shock but it’s great to see everything greening up. Rachel and I recently went hiking at the Konza Prairie Biological Station near Manhattan, KS.
During February our home returned to the “new normal” for Rachel and I, as both Katelyn and Garrett had already left for college. We enjoyed having them both home for their holiday breaks. I’m also pretty sure they were ready to go back. Garrett’s updates from college are positive. Classes seem to be going well so far.
Rachel and I supported the Old Fashioned Christmas Parade at the beginning of December. We had dinner Friday night with the parade riders and enjoyed learning how far many of the parade participants had come. I learned from a Nebraska couple at dinner that there probably isn’t another event like this in the Midwest.
In October Rachel and I traveled to Asheville, North Carolina for a Raymond James meeting. We had never been to Asheville before so we added a little time on to the front end of our trip to see the city. We took the opportunity to visit the River Arts District which is made up of old warehouses that have been repurposed for artist’
September flew by. Rachel and I have been busy with the landscaping at our new building. Updates from Katelyn and Garrett have been good. In September we visited Garrett in Easton, Pennsylvania for Parents Weekend at Lafayette College. The College held a mini “Ted – Talk” session. Several of the sessions were very interesting.
August has brought a few changes to the Rademacher household. Rachel and I loaded up two kids’ belongings and headed east for the beginning of their college year. I can attest to the fact that I-70 pretty much goes all of the way to the east coast (or at least to Baltimore). Katelyn is now a junior.
Our family has had a busy summer. Rachel and I brought Katelyn and Garrett to Estes Park, Colorado for a Raymond James meeting. We enjoyed meeting with our fellow advisors as well as hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, one of our favorite places.
